Canadensys continues collaborative international lunar agriculture work

[Toronto, 22 October 2025] – TecMasters, Inc. (TMI), Orbit Beyond, Inc. (OBI), and Canadensys Aerospace Corporation today announced a strategic partnership to deliver Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) for upcoming lunar surface missions, beginning with NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) CT-4 mission. The collaboration unites complementary expertise in lander systems, integration, and rover technologies to provide standardized, cost-effective, and mission-ready surface mobility solutions for NASA, international, and commercial customers.

Under this three-party partnership:

  • Orbit Beyond will lead lander development, payload integration, and surface mission execution, providing lunar delivery and communications infrastructure.
  • TecMasters will serve as prime integration and mission operations partner, responsible for system-level integration, testing, and mission assurance across OBI’s lunar program.
  • Canadensys Aerospace will lead lunar surface mobility activities, including supply of lunar rover platforms, integration support, and surface operations to enable multiple payload customers to share a common rover infrastructure under the MaaS model.

The Mobility-as-a-Service framework allows payloads from diverse customers to be deployed, operated, and managed on a single rover platform—simplifying onboarding, standardizing data interfaces, and significantly reducing both cost and schedule risk for lunar science and technology missions. Canadensys’ rover system, tailored for OBI’s CT-4 mission envelope and scalable for future CLPS and commercial deliveries, will provide traverse planning, teleoperations, payload commissioning, and anomaly resolution, coordinated with OBI’s Mission Control Center.

“Through this partnership, we’re redefining access to the lunar surface,” said Siba Padhi, President & CEO of Orbit Beyond, Inc. “By combining TecMasters’ mission assurance capability with Canadensys’ proven rover technologies and OBI’s lander platform, we can offer NASA and commercial customers a reliable, plug-and-play mobility solution for the Moon.”

“This is a transformative step toward sustained lunar exploration,” said Reggie Spivey, COO of TecMasters, Inc. “Mobility-as-a-Service will make surface science and technology demonstrations more accessible, affordable, and repeatable.”

“Canadensys is excited to join this partnership, which will help democratize humanity’s access to the lunar surface,” added Perry Edmundson, Program Manager at Canadensys Aerospace. “Our rover platforms will provide dependable mobility and payload operations support to maximize scientific and commercial return.”

The partnership operates under a collaborative commercial framework encompassing rover provisioning, integration and test services, operations support, and risk allocation appropriate for MaaS. The initiative strengthens our commercialization roadmap for CLPS and post-CLPS lunar infrastructure missions, advancing the vision of sustained lunar presence and operations.
