Canadensys Aerospace and Let’s Talk Science Provide Lunar Rover Experience to Canadian Students

Aug 22, 2022

(Toronto, ON – Monday, August 22) Canadensys Aerospace Corp. and Let’s Talk Science are thrilled to announce their partnership to engage youth in the study of space science and engineering, with a focus on lunar rovers. This initiative brings together the education and engagement expertise of Let’s Talk Science with the lunar rover, space engineering and mission operations expertise of Canadensys.

Canadensys President and CEO, Christian Sallaberger states, “Canadian industry has a long history in the general area of space robotics, and we are now developing lunar rovers as potential contributions to international missions.  Canadensys has been actively developing robust Moon rovers for the past decade for both Canadian and international customers, and so we are thrilled to partner with the innovative team at Let’s Talk Science to do our part in sharing this exciting next chapter of space activities with future generations of Canadian science and engineering leaders.”

Through this partnership, Let’s Talk Science will use the state-of-the-art Canadensys Lunar Terrain Test Facility to guide top winning teams of students through the process of designing and operating a simulated lunar rover mission.

“Science and technology are critical for addressing societal changes and preparing youth for tomorrow’s demands,” says Let’s Talk Science president Bonnie Schmidt. “Projects about space can help youth develop vital communication, scientific thinking and collaborative skills. We are pleased to be working with the experts at Canadensys and Avalon Space on this initiative.”
